Activity Description

The COPD Educator Course, through the American Lung Association is a three, half-day course that provides healthcare professionals with a thorough overview of COPD information as they work with COPD patients. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a chronic lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. The disease is increasingly common, affecting millions of Americans, and is the third leading cause of death by disease in the U.S. The good news is COPD is often preventable and treatable.

Cost and Funding Sources

Cost is $300 and includes instruction, access to course materials, placebo toolkit, access to recording after the live dates and up to 14 CEUs/CMEs.

Impact Analysis

Hundreds of health professionals have participated in COPD Educator Courses held in local communities across the country. For the first time in 2020, we began offering this course virtually and nationwide.

Dynamic speakers who are experts in their field make the course come alive. Sharing resources and materials in an easy to access location allows for frequent utilization of course materials long after the event has ended.
