Activity Description
RHA’s Living Better Together Conference is an annual event that connects patients, caregivers, physicians, and experts to share insights and advancements in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) management and care and empowers people with COPD, their families, and caregivers to recognize and reduce the burden of COPD.Nadia Hansel, MD, MPH, led a webinar on Poor Air Quality and COPD. She is the interim director of the Department of Medicine in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and interim physician-in-chief of The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Arpi Minassian led a webinar focused on Stress Management and COPD. Dr. Minassian is a clinical psychologist and an attending clinician in the UC San Diego. Dr. Lori Wilken, clinical pharmacist, and Dr. Stephanie LaBedz, pulmonologist, from the University of Illinois Hospital Health and Science System led a webinar on COPD Medication and Surgical Options. There was also a 30-Minute Caregiver Appreciation segment, which focused on caregivers and how they can use the COPD toolkit as a resource.
