  • Develop a unified, multidisciplinary educational curriculum for health care professionals, including primary health care providers, using harmonized clinical practice guidelines
  • Develop, in accordance with clinical quality measures, a clinical decision tree and other tools to enable high-quality care for people with COPD
  • Improve access to care for people with COPD, particularly for those in hard-to reach areas

Activity Description

The COPD Overview Course is a 60- minute, self-guided module and presentation designed to provide healthcare professionals with the education and training they will need in to better serve patients with COPD. It is a high-level overview of the disease and will briefly touch on disease diagnosis and management.

Attendees will gain the knowledge to help them work with patients, educate and motivate patients and implement evidence-based best practice self-management education in community and healthcare settings.
