COPD360social provides community members with a comfortable venue to share thoughts and ideas, ask questions, start discussions, read and comment on blogs and communicate with peers, thought leaders and community managers. As with many social media networks, users can like and comment on other user's activity as well as connecting via the "friend" function. This facilitates robust discussions and the development of a sense of community among the user base.

Advice or Lessons Learned

Moderation is essential to creating a healthy, sustainable community. In addition, we encourage members of our clinical education team to monitor questions and comments to ensure that evidence-based answers are being provided in addition to the peer support.
