Activity Description
This was the third of a 3-part webinar series that focused on oxygen issues faced by patients with COPD. Our first webinar in October 2019 featured officials from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), who provided information intended to lead to better understanding of the Medicare oxygen coverage requirements. Our second webinar in the series, held in November 2019, featured a pulmonologist, a pulmonary rehabilitation nurse, and an oxygen patient who discussed ways to optimize the use of supplemental oxygen systems to improve your respiratory quality of life. This final webinar in the series featured durable medical equipment (DME) suppliers and the CMS ombudsman. The goal of this webinar was to improve understanding, collaboration and cooperation between beneficiaries and DME suppliers under current rules.Audience

Encourage participants to submit questions in writing in advance, and during the webinar. We encouraged questions to be submitted in advance, and we accepted written questions from the live participants that were answered after the formal presentation. Doing so allowed the participants to get their questions answered, while also keeping the flow of the webinar consistent, as the speakers did not have to stop to answer questions in real time. Answers to any questions that were not answered live due to time constraints were posted on the USCC website, along with a video recording of the webinar.Related Links
